Mata Ortiz Pottery

The now famous Mata Ortiz Pottery comes from the most important pottery center in Northern Mexico. These pots are hand formed and fired by local potters who have learned the ancient techniques that were rediscovered by Juan Quezada, the man who, as a young boy, single-handedly discovered, created and founded the culture of Mata Ortiz Pottery.      Click pics for larger image.
